CaptureBase is a document capture application for document scanners and document management systems (DMS). Its purpose is the daily capturing of paper based documents to transfer them into a digital archiving system, a DMS or an enterprise content management system (ECM). For differend kinds of documents different capture processes can be preconfigured. This way the overal scanning process is simplified dramatically, because all settings for the scanner, the verification and the transfer are preconfigured. Only three steps in a single user interface remain to capture a batch of documents:
- Scan the batch,
- verify an index the documents and
- commit the batch to the DMS.
The documents are transferred in the background to the DMS without interrupting the work of the capture application. After the release of a batch a new batch can be scanned immediately.
